Ingredient
- 1 teaspoon of halal salt
- 1 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1/2 teaspoon cajun seasoning
- 4 ounces of fettuccine paste
- 3/4 pound of raw, shelled, deveined shrimp and tails removed
- 1 teaspoon of fresh pepper
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1/2 cup thick cream
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and stir to mix. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of flour on the shrimp, and stir to coat the shrimp. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of flour again and stir to keep the shrimp flat.
- Melt the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. When it's hot, add shrimp in one layer and cook on each side, turning once, until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Lift to the plate.
- Pour the chicken stock into the pan and cook for about 5 minutes, shake the bottom of the pan to burn. Reduce heat to medium and pour in cream, stirring constantly. Cook the sauce over medium heat until bubbling and the cream starts to thicken the mixture, about 5 minutes.
- Taste the sauce and add the desired seasonings (salt, pepper, cajun seasoning, etc.) Add the dried pasta and shrimp to the sauce, and stir until smooth.
