Champagne Strawberry Ice Cubes

Champagne Strawberry Ice Cubes

This easy-to-make strawberry ice cube is one of the fun ice cube ideas. And it might also be the result of having ice cube trays cooler than I need. Besides that, I like champagne or bubbling sparkling wine. Champagne and strawberries are the perfect combination for this ice cube. You can make it using a regular square or rectangular ice cube, or use a heart-shaped / star / igloo / fish / diamond / etc shaped tray that (like me) you bought a while ago and always forget to use it.

Easy to make champagne and strawberry ice cubes, this delightful ice cube can be added to bubbly / sparkling wine cocktails, white sangria, or to give an extra touch of a glass of champagne

Champagne Strawberry Ice Cubes
Ingredient
  • Ice cube molds or trays, can use cube molds or shapes such as hearts, stars, etc.
  • Ripe fresh strawberries, sliced or diced
  • Champagne or sparkling wine of your choice (cava, prosecco, brut) - can also use sweeter wines like Moscato or Riesling
Instructions
  1. Fill an ice cube tray with diced or sliced strawberries.
  2. Pour the sparkling wine carefully over the fruit into a tray.
  3. Freeze for about 4-6 hours or until it's solid enough to be removed (the exact time will vary based on the temperature of your fridge). Champagne ice cubes will not freeze 100% like water, but must be solid enough to be removed and used in drinks.
