Tiramisu
is an Italian dessert that is famous for it’s coffee influence. The Italians
make this recipe with cold espresso coffee. Some recipes will also add a bit of
rum. Also, raw egg yolks are often used however, we will cook ours as nobody
would want to get sick from eating something that tastes so good.
This
is a recipe for how to make Sugar Free Tiramisu. There are no raw eggs in this
recipe. Ingredients Egg Yolks- 6 at room temperature. Sugar Alternatives-
Equivalent to 1/2 cup of sugar granular works best. Milk-1/3 cup Heavy Cream or
Greek Yogurt- 1/2 cup. Mascarpone Cheese- 1 pound see recipe details above.
Cooled Espresso Coffee- 1 1/4 cups divided. Dark Rum- 2 teaspoon can sub in 1
teaspoon of vanilla extract instead . Sugar Free Lady Fingers- See recipe

chocolate- as needed. See post for where to find unsweetened chocolate.
Instructions Prepare your Mascarpone and lady fingers in advance of making this
recipe. In a saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar alternative,
and milk. Switch from the whisk to a spoon and stir this until it begins to
boil. Once it boils, turn the heat down and simmer for another minute, stirring
constantly to prevent lumping/sticking etc. Remove from heat and allow this to
sit out in room temperature for 5-10 minutes to cool and then cover and place
in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours.

Instructions
1. Prepare your
Mascarpone and lady fingers in advance of making this recipe.
2. In a saucepan

Switch from the whisk to a spoon and stir this until it begins to boil. Once it
boils, turn the heat down and simmer for another minute, stirring constantly to
prevent lumping/sticking etc. Remove from heat and allow this to sit out in
room temperature for 5-10 minutes to cool and then cover and place in the
refrigerator for at least a couple of hours.
